one of my least favorite/most favorite back to school things is
“What I did over my summer vacation”
it’s the same once you get to college so. It SUCKS. I hate being asked what I did all summer, because I feel like once you get to college, everyone and i mean EVERYONE s studying abroad/taking a cruise/traveling somewhere exotic. So, then when I say, “I just hung out around home and worked,” I look completely lame, because I didn’t do anything with my summer. Then, the other person, either wants you to then ask all the details of THEIR trip, like rubbing your face, or tries to sympathize with you and play down their trip. Either way, you are forced to asked the daunting question of “what did you do over summer vacation?”
